Objectives
- Raise cultural and intercultural awareness: make all of our students be aware of their own cultural heritage, of the values that really define them and their sense of belonging to the whole society;
- respect: show them the common cultural aspects of European partners and appreciate them while respecting the diversities that add color to Europe. They will feel belonging to a large European family, with different colors and common features;
- learn and share traditions and knowledge about cultural heritage through a variety of activities that strengthen students’ speaking, reading and writing skills;
- foster the great value of the European countries heritage by discovering, learning and sharing traditions as European citizens;
- include all generations: unite the students not only with their peers but also with their parents, ancestors and preceding generations;
- underline the importance of multilingualism: motivate them to use English as a common language, notice the vitality of linguastic skills;
- decrease drop out rates of students, especially students from ethnic minorities: if our students participate in such an intercultural and extracurricular project, their motivation for school life will increase. This project will show them that school is a life-long laboratory. Moreover, our refugee and immigrant students will feel part of the social context where they live .All these factors will reduce cultural poverty through school success;
- improve teaching methods: we will have the the opportunity of learning from colleagues from other countries.
- Observing how they manage with multi level classrooms will broaden our horizons as teachers and it will enrich our techniques;
- inclusion and equity: we will motivate socio-economic disadvantaged students to the very center of this project to foster social cohesion. Because of their socio-economic disadvantaged families, most of our students are shy, haven't had self-courage;
- decrease gap between genders and socio-economically different students: they will always use digital technologies during our project.This will decrease the learning gap between girls and boys who have more possibilities to access technologies and high and low socio-economic students.
